Fitting your tray
Three steps, done once your fryer is cool and drained.
STEP 01
Drain & cool
Fitting is easiest when your fryer is empty of oil and has fully cooled down.
STEP 02
Remove the factory rack
Look for sharp objects or edges in your fryer tank that can puncture the fine mesh. If found, leave the original rack in the base, then add theCrumbCatcher™ on top.
STEP 03
Set the tray, refill
Designed with roughly a ¼″ wiggle gap for easy placement. Empty it several times a day during each shift.
From the line
Verified buyers, running real kitchens.
Handle takes a beating every shift and still holds strong. Mesh cleans up fast in the dish pit, no scrubbing required. Our fry oil smells cleaner too, which our regulars have actually noticed and mentioned.
Ordering was easy since support confirmed fitment before we paid anything. Tray arrived fast and dropped right into our fryer basin, no modifications needed. Staff empties it constantly now — it's just part of routine.
Was skeptical a tray this simple could matter much, but our oil replacement costs dropped noticeably within two weeks. Stainless feels solid, not flimsy like the last one we tried from another supplier.
Oil life went from four days to seven almost overnight. The mesh catches everything before it burns, and cleanup takes half the time it used to. Paid for itself within a month of steady use.
Slid straight into our Pitco 35C with zero trimming or rattling around. Fit was exact on the first try. Wish we'd bought two the day we opened, honestly — it's that useful during a rush.
Bought this after a bad experience with a universal tray that didn't fit right. This one is precision-cut for our exact model and stays put. Genuinely wish every kitchen supplier operated this way.
Frequently asked
What are the Crumb Catcher™ sediment trays?
Crumb Catcher™ is a custom sediment tray designed to work with most commercial floor model fryers They help extend the life of cooking oil by collecting food crumbs and debris.
How much can I save by using the Crumb Catcher™?
Using the trays can increase the use of your cooking oil by 25% to 50%, resulting in significant cost savings for restaurant owners.
How do I fit the tray for the first time?
Fitting is best when your fryer is empty, drained of oil, and cooled down. Remove the rack that comes with the fryer and check for sharp areas that could puncture the fine mesh — if any exist, leave the factory rack in and place the tray on top. We design with about a ¼" overall gap of wiggle room for ease of use.
How often should I empty the Crumb Catcher™?
For best results, empty the Crumb Catcher™ every hour, or more frequently depending on your business needs. This helps maintain the efficiency and cleanliness of the filter and frying oil.
How do I clean the Crumb Catcher™ sediment tray?
the Crumb Catcher™ sediment trays are easy to clean. They are dishwasher safe and can also be hand-washed in hot water with soap or degreaser. Ensure the sediment tray is completely dry before placing it back in your fryer. Scheduled cleaning of the sediment tray will avoid carbon buildup.
What materials are the Crumb Catcher™ made from?
the Crumb Catcher™ is made from 304 stainless steel material, including the handle, frame, and 550-micron fine mesh. The silicone sleeve handle is FDA-compliant.
Does the Crumb Catcher™ sediment tray chip and/or rust?
No, it's made from 100% stainless steel. Around the spot welding, discoloration is common due to high heat fusing the parts.
Are there any precautions to take when using the Crumb Catcher™ sediment trays?
Inspect the fryer tank for jagged edges or protrusions that may potentially damage the fine mesh before removing the original rack. If anything could puncture or tear the fine mesh on the sediment tray, leave the original rack in place to protect it.
Key Guidelines to Follow:
● Inspect First: Carefully feel the bottom and sides of the
tank or housing for sharp metal spots before swapping the rack for the sediment
tray.
● Protect the Mesh: The fine mesh of a sediment tray will tear
if it rests against a sharp object or warped metal.
● Leave the Rack in Place: When in doubt about whether the tray
will be damaged, simply leave the existing support rack in place instead.
● Handle with Care: Always
use the silicone handle when removing the sediment tray to remove debris
